Q&A with our founder

What is HOME OF UGOH?

A digital community providing intellectual capital to the next generation of humanitarians.

How will you achieve this?
This digital community will serve as a platform to empower and engage the next generation of humanitarian leaders to use their talents and creativity for sustained growth and social impact. The platform will be built on three core tenets: Policy, People and Programmes.

How did you come up with HOME OF UGOH?

Campaigning on the Rohingya refugee crisis exposed me to the extremities that many communities in the developing world must endure. This work sparked my fascination into the world of international development, as it made me wonder how nations could be organized in such a way that invited suffering. I believe that empowering the next generation with a deeper, more tangible understanding of socio-economics and public policy, will prepare them to solving some of the world’s biggest development quandaries.

What's your north star?

Starting HOME OF UGOH was all about creating an ecosystem of shared knowledge and expertise tailored for the leaders of tomorrow. This idea was birthed from my own experiences as a young leader, navigating the world of international development for the first time. I am very excited to grow this platform over the next decade and pioneer fruitful engagements with the next generation of humanitarians.
